what i am seeing...
-a refined continuation of the neo-goth look...
*wednesday addams grows up and moves to the english countryside...
-empire/raised waistlines...aka baby doll/tulip dresses
-elegant romantic looks...and all that this entails...
*lace, chiffon, velvet, bows, puff sleeves, capelets...etc...
-TONS of black black black...grey wool flannel and grey knits
-white shirts...
-ankle boots and platforms...
-leather trim and apparel...
*seems like the beginning of a new, harder-edged trend...
-skirts/dresses with pockets-EVERYWHERE!!
-waist/hip treatments
ie-tied panels, fold over waists, large pleats, peplums etc...
seems like america is trying to hide their growing waistlines...
...could be an aftermath of the recent baby boom...
*seems like a lot of collections pick up from where stefano pilati left off at YSL last season...
that collection sold phenomenally well at retail, and it seems like everyone is trying to get a piece of that action...
**overall...
i am seeing a strong urban woman at ease with her femininity and confident in her sexuality...
so far so good...
